As shown in the figure, connect the LCD module to the Raspberry Pi

Step 3:Install the LCD driver

Method A:

Offline installation

Download from the web site or copy the "lcd-show.tar.gz" drive from the CD-ROM to the root

1)directory of the Raspberry Pi system card;

https://tinyurl.com/5n64rxp6

(Suggestion: copy flash driver directly to Micro SD card after completion of Step 1)

2) Unzip and extract drive files as the following command :

Run the following command line

cd /boot

sudo tar zxvf LCD-show.tar.gz

cd LCD-show/

sudo ./MPI4008-show

3) Wait for a moment after executing, you can use the LCD.

Method B:

Online installation

Install drivers in the Raspbian system (Raspberry Pi requires Internet connection) --Q:SSH can not connect?https://tinyurl.com/55hkyemy

(1) Log on to the Raspberry Pi by Putty SSH (User: pi; Password: raspberry)

(2) Execute the following command (copy and paste it by right-clicking on the Putty window):

Get the newest driver from GitHub(Raspberry Pi LCD should be connected to internet)

Tips: Please note case of letters, spaces and special symbols

sudo rm -rf LCD-show

FAQ of the Screen(*Important*)

Q:The screen flashes between black and blue / screen does not detect inputs/ Does not work / defective

Because the products pass 100% full inspection before leaving the factory, except for obvious damage caused by external forces during transportation, the hardware will not have problems in general.

Reason of Problem:

A: The hardware connection is incorrect and there is no signal input.

B:The system file is installed incorrectly and cannot be parsed.

Solution:

A: First check whether each hardware connection is inserted and connected correctly. Inspection site: Raspberry Pi GPIO port connection position/HDMI connector/Raspberry pi power connector

B: After checking the hardware connection failure, it is not displayed normally. Please reinstall the system files we provide.

Use the image of the driver preinstalled

1) Download the driver image file from the website:

Raspbian: https://tinyurl.com/y3xsemve

Kali:     https://tinyurl.com/y3hvzc6p

Tutorial 2 worked perfectly on my Pi4 with BulldEye. I have forgotten how to rotate the screen. Perhaps those instructions can be added here? Thank you!

Monitor works with Pi 4 4gb but octopi user specified octopi failed to load octoprint. This is with an unmolested/untouched installation and with a Note++ edit installation of the octopi.text for USB camera 2560x1440 15 fps and Octopi-wpa-supplicant.txt for internet and country. Nothing I did would solve it.

I do like the display. The only problem is that the connector covers over the I2C GPIO pins making it very difficult to add common components for the Raspberry pi. In my case I need to add a real-time clock but there are many uses for those specific pins. Maybe a future model could expose those pins for general use.

you cant fucking download the driver on kali without downloading their own sketchy image of the OS?! what the fuck kinda bullshit... i found a workaround and got it on screen, finally rotated it. then the touch was opposite the cursor would move opposite of where i put my finger/stylus.. so i messed with some .conf files and managed to turn the touch off completely (i remember changing a 1 to a 0 or something somewhere and for the life of me i cannot find it again) and just use a small mouse keyboard combo... then found a tutorial online that seemed to work, even the touch work normally.. but only at the log in screen. after I log in it reverts back to the touch being off... I have no idea how to turn it back on now that its fixed... this "company" is a JOKE

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT AND RETURN IT IMMEDIATELY IF YOU HAVE.

oh and to the makers of this "product":

FUCK you. thanks for wasting my time and money which is more valuable than yours simply because i dont create sketchy ass products with no possible way to install them unless you install the entire OS i created with drivers pre-installed... "it not possible to install drivers on kali, blah blah blah" you fucking idiots thankfully there are smart people out there who found workarounds to your bullshit, but of course i had to go and fuck myself by turning off the touch and now i have no idea how to turn it back on...

idk how your "company" hasnt gone under, bankrupt, crashed and burned... you gotta be scamming and spying on people to stay in "business" for real no one who buys this is going to download your prebuilt image of kali if they for REAL use kali, did you really think people who use kali would do that? if i could put a middle finger emoji i would..

losers.

heres a literal quote from you fucking retards on this very page: quote:"(Try our Configned images for tested)

Just need download and write the image into the Micro SD card. DO NOT need any driver installation steps. "

1. Configned? what the fuck does that mean? why is it capitalized?

2. NO NEED, DO NOT, NO DRIVERS, ONLY OUR PREMADE IMAGES. like wtf? someone REALLY wants you to download THEIR premade OS image... thats not sketchy at all... probably some chinese spying tool.

I got it to work on every OS Image I already installed using rpi imager or etcher by just installing the driver meant for Raspberry pi OS. As long as your distro is debian based(which Kali, Ubuntu, and Razz Pi OS are) you should be fine. If you're fucking around with a rpi, then you should know enough about Linux & computers in general to figure this out. As well as be stoked for what you get for 28.99 you dumbasses. This thing is great for retro pi cuz you can hook buttons up, use a rpi zero w, and have the option to navigate using a stylus. Also a great little display for troubleshooting android phones & laptops with busted screens on the go.

After using the command 'sudo reboot now' the screen does not display, it flashes grey and off. If I remove the power cable, then replug the power cable, it will display correctly again. Is there a way around this so I can use 'sudo reboot now' and have the display working on start?
